Been going here for years! Love the food, the service and the cocktails! There aren't a lot of restaurants on the hill and this is a gem! The dishes are very unique and tasty. There's also a lot of healthy options that are darn good! I keep missing the prime rib nights. I think it's Thursday. I wish they served prime rib every day! Highly recommend!

Great place for breakfast, weekdays and weekends! We arrived on a weekd day morning and we were seated immediately. I ordered the START YOUR DAY RIGHT BOWL: Brown rice studded with corn & poblanos topped with 2 eggs any style, cheddar cheese, diced crispy chicken, chipotle mayo & pico de gallo. This was delicious, filling and healthy! My husband ordered the 14th Street Breakfast: Two fried eggs with brie cheese, applewood smoked bacon, arugula & garlic mayo on toasted sourdough bread. Served with choice of fruit or potatoes. We love Truxtons and it is always hard to pick what to eat, because everything on the menu looks good! Katrina was our server and she was attentive with a smile! Happy Hour is great too for food and drink! Mondays are half off wines! Sign up to be a Truxtons Bistro Loyalty member and get points! After 300 points, you get a $25 gift card! Your birthday month you get $20 off! It is a great deal!

We arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and were able to get a booth. The hostesses were very pleasant and accommodating. There were three of us and we really liked our food. My omelette was fluffy and the potatoes were perfection with a little char. One guest ordered a glass of water. Water was not brought out for the rest of the table. The parking lot felt a little small, but we all found spaces with no problem. I would definitely return. Breakfast was served until 3pm. Tastefully decorated and the tables are far enough apart so there are little to no conversation barriers.

Delicious fish and chips! Fish was lightly breaded and delicious. Sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Pieces of fish were consistent and held together nicely. Very easy and quick to do a pickup order. Great service.

I recently stumbled upon Tuxton's American Bistro in Torrance, and it's quickly become a favorite spot for a relaxed, satisfying brunch. The bistro maintains a low-key vibe, never feeling too crowded, which makes finding a seat a breeze. One of the standout dishes is the Vietnamese Wings. These wings pack a savory, spicy kick and come with a deliciously spicy dipping sauce that perfectly complements the flavor. For a hearty brunch, the Chicken and Waffles are an absolute must-try. The waffle is nothing short of heavenly--think of a buttery, sweet piece of cake. While the syrup is an excellent addition, the waffle is so good it's almost perfect on its own. The dish includes one large, fluffy waffle, two crispy chicken strips, and two pieces of bacon, all for about $20. It's a great value and one of the best items on their brunch menu. Tuxton's also offers a range of lemonade options, with the choice to add alcohol for an extra fee, making it a versatile spot for both casual brunches and more celebratory gatherings. The Fish and Chips are another highlight, featuring crispy, flaky fish paired with perfectly crispy fries that are a delight. Adding to the pleasant experience is the staff, who are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their warm service only enhances the already great atmosphere of the bistro. Overall, Tuxton's American Bistro has become my go-to lowkey brunch spot. The food is consistently good, and those waffles are the real draw--so good that they keep me coming back. If you're in Torrance and looking for a relaxed, tasty brunch experience with a touch of great service, definitely check out Tuxton's.

My Mom and aunts have been raving about this place to me for a while now. That my wife and I had to go. We finally did today on Friday around 5:15. We were sat immediately. Our server came to our table very soon after being seated to take our drink order and food order soon after. Service was great. Very attentive. We started with the monkey bread as a starter. Very good. The bread comes with three sauces to dip, ranch, garlic butter, and marinara. My favorite is marinara. I ordered the crispy fish tacos and my wife ordered the curry. We both liked our entrees. Very good. I would order the same thing again. I ordered the banana pudding and my wife had the apple tart. I love banana cream pie so I knew I'd like the pudding. Tasted so good. My wife's tart was also good and tasted like a apple pie. Not a single disappointing thing about this place from the restaurant, service and the food. I would definitely return and recommend.

I've passed this place countless times and finally decided to give it a go. I had dinner at Truxton's for the first time tonight (07/12/2024), and it will not be my last. The service, the food and the experience were really solid. Our waiters was very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. She answered our questions with enthusiasm. The salads (see pictures) were EXCELLENT. For sports fans, they have televisions inside.
